All Nippon Airways launches newly configured domestic 787-9

The aircraft will be fitted with 28 premium class seats similar to those on the airline’s 777-200s and up from 18 previously. The seats have 15.6 inch video screens and offer the largest seat width, 22 inches, on a domestic flight. The personal monitor in economy class also has been increased from 11.6 inches to 13.3 inches, the biggest offered on Japanese domestic flights. “The 787 has served ANA with distinction for a decade. We are excited to add more comfort and functionality to our fleet of incredibly capable aircraft,” said ANA’s senior vice president customer experience, management & planning, Junko Yazawa. “The new features on the 787-9 strengthen an already great aircraft and will improve the passenger experience on domestic flights.”
