Japan Airlines increases A350 and ATR 42-600 operations

Japan Airlines (JAL) will steadily introduce more A350-900s and ATR 42-600 turboprops into its domestic network in the 2023 fiscal year. Fleet data shows JAL operates 14 A350-900s and that its regional affiliate, Japan Air Commuter, operated eight ATR 42-600s. Route changes announced included more flights between Osaka Itami and Kagoshima and frequency increases on Osaka Itami-Naha during peak periods. JAL also will boost capacity on the Tokyo Haneda to Miyako and Ishigaki routes by upgauging to larger aircraft.
