China domestic passenger numbers decline 44.7% in November

Airlines in China flew 21.4 million passengers on domestic flights in November, down 44.7% month-on-month from the 38.8 million domestic passengers flown in October, Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) figures show. Read More » The November number also was 51.6% below the 44.2 million domestic passengers transported within China in the same month in 2020.
Mainland domestic air travel has been disrupted recently after authorities imposed stay-at-home orders in various provinces as part of efforts to contain several COVID-19 outbreaks. International travel has been heavily restricted since the start of the pandemic.
