Philippine Airlines (PAL) has named Captain Stanley K. Ng acting president and chief operating officer. Read More » Captain Ng has succeeded Gilbert Gabriel F. Santa Maria, who resigned following the completion of PAL's bankruptcy restructuring process. Captain Ng, an A320 commander, was most recently senior vice president for airline operations. "The board and PAL management wish to convey our gratitude to Mr Santa Maria for his steady stewardship of the company in the last two and a half years. He will continue to help in the transition process in the next few weeks," PAL said in a regulatory filing to the Philippine stock exchange.
