New Vistara CEO presents upbeat outlook for the India carrier

"We also observed a gradual return of demand in international travel." While the emergence of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 had led to a drop in bookings, Kannan said Vistara had experienced a steady increase in traffic in February compared with a year earlier. Kannan succeeded Leslie Thng as Vistara CEO on January 1.Established in 2015, the airline is a joint venture between India's Tata Sons (51%) and SIA Group (49%).
