Leadership changes at ANA HOLDINGS and All Nippon Airways

ANA HOLDINGS INC, the parent company of All Nippon Airways and Peach, has named Koji Shibata to succeed Shinya Katanozaka as president and CEO. Read More » Katanozaka will move to ANA HOLDINGS as successor to present chairman, Shinichiro Ito. The 64-year-old Shibata has been with ANA for 40 years, joining the company from university in 1982. He is a senior executive vice president and a member of the board. While Ito is stepping down as chairman, ANA HOLDINGS said he will remain with the company as a senior advisor. The appointments will take effect on April 1.

There also are leadership changes ahead at All Nippon Airways, with Shinichi Inoue appointed president and CEO of the airline from April 1. Inoue, 63, started at the carrier in 1990. He is a senior executive vice president leading sales and marketing and a member of the airline’s board. He follows Yuji Hirako, who will join ANA HOLDINGS as board vice chairman.
