All Nippon Airways adds flights to its European and U.S. networks

All Nippon Airways (ANA) plans to add capacity on two European and two U.S. routes in response to passenger and cargo demand trends. Read More » From March, the Japanese carrier will boost frequencies on services from Tokyo Narita to San Francisco and Seattle and Tokyo Haneda to Frankfurt and London. Despite the expanded schedule, ANA's international network remains well below pre-COVID-19 levels. The Star Alliance member's operation rate for international services was 23% for February, rising to a forecast 24% by June. "Due to the prolonged impact of COVID-19, ANA expects full scale recovery of demand to be further delayed," ANA said. "ANA will continue to monitor local restrictions and quarantine guidelines, demand trends and travel viability as it decides on the frequency of flights and when to resume certain routes."
