Air India has named former Turkish Airlines chairman, Ilker Ayci, as its new CEO and managing director. Read More » The appointment, subject to regulatory approvals, followed the recent sale of the formerly government-owned carrier to Tata Sons. “Ilker is an aviation industry leader who led Turkish Airlines to its current success during his tenure there," Tata Sons chairman, N Chandrasekaran, said "We are delighted to welcome him to the Tata group where he will lead Air India into the new era." Ayci is due to start with Air India on April 1.

Raytheon Technologies Corporation has appointed Christopher Calio as its new chief operating officer. Calio, who will move to Raytheon on March 1, is president of Raytheon's Pratt & Whitney business unit. Raytheon said Shabe Eddy will succeed Calio as Pratt & Whitney president. “Chris is a tested leader who has successfully steered Pratt & Whitney through one of the most dynamic and challenging periods in aerospace history,” Raytheon CEO, Greg Hayes, said. “Shane’s significant aerospace industry leadership experience and in-depth understanding of Pratt & Whitney’s products and culture makes him the ideal leader to take the business through its next phase of growth."
