Brunei and Malaysia to establish air and land vaccinated travel lanes

Read More » While no date was announced the commencement of the VTL, Malaysia’s Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri Yaakob, told reporters, after a two-day visit with Brunei head of state Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, that both governments were working to establish VTLs for land and air travel. The air VTL is expected to be launched with four flights a week between Bandar Seri Begawan and Kuala Lumpur. In January, Brunei scrapped plans to start quarantine-free travel due to the spread of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
