Singapore Airlines finalises order for A350 freighters

Airbus and Singapore Airlines (SIA) have held a signing ceremony at the airshow to finalise an order, first announced in December, for seven A350F freighters. Read More » SIA group CEO, Goh Choon Phong, said the A350F will enhance the airline's cargo capabilities and ensure its readiness for growth opportunities. "These new generation aircraft will substantially increase our operating efficiencies and reduce our fuel burn, making an important contribution to the success of our long-term decarbonisation goals," Goh said. The A350Fs are earmarked to replace SIA's 747-400F fleet, with the first of the next-generation type due to arrive at SIA in the final quarter of 2025. Separately, the group has signed a long-term MRO agreement with Collins Aerospace for support of airline company’s 55 787s.
