t’way Air receives first A330-300

Read More » The wide-body, registration HL8501, arrived at Seoul Gimpo Airport from Xiamen late last week, flight tracking websites showed. The near 13-year-old airplane previously flew with Aeroflot Russian Airlines and Thai AirAsia X. It is configured with 12 business and 335 economy seats. In addition to being the airline's first wide-body, the A330-300 is t'way's first Airbus aircraft. Until now the airline has been flying an all-Boeing fleet of 27 737-800s. t'way said its first A330-300 will begin commercial operations at the end of March serving Seoul Gimpo-Jeju. The second and third A330-300s are due to arrive by May. t'way said the A330-300s will be considered for mid and long distance destinations including Australia, Eastern Europe, Hawaii and Singapore and also for cargo services.
