Air Lease Corp (ALC) said net profit rose 32.7%, to US$142 million, in the three months to December 31 2021, from US$107 million in the same months in 2020. Revenue increased 22.1%, to US$597 million. “We had a strong fourth quarter and second half of 2021 that benefited from continuing airline industry recovery, as seen in our cash collections, operating metrics, fleet expansion and record lease placements," ALC CEO, John Plueger, said.
Global flight training company, CAE, said Air Busan has become the latest customer for its CAE Rise training system.
Airbus and Qantas have agreed to a deal that will upgrade the Australian carrier's three A321 passenger-to-freighter (P2F) aircraft. "The modifications include the latest standard of LCD cockpit displays, weather radar, on-board flight data management, ETOPS 120 capability and application of the 'extended service goal' (ESG) airframe life enhancement programme," Airbus said.
