The Menzies Aviation board said it is willing to recommend shareholders accept a final all-cash takeover proposal from National Aviation Services (NAS) of 608 U.K. pence (US$8.28) per share "subject to the satisfactory resolution of all the other terms of the offer, including the approach to the customary regulatory approvals required to complete any transaction". The final proposal followed previous all-cash offers of 460 pence, 510 pence and 605 pence per Menzies share.
Atlas Air will add a 747-8F to its partnership with Alibaba Group's logistic arm, Cainiao Network, under a long-term agreement to increase capacity on routes from China to Brazil, Chile and the U.S. The 747-8F is scheduled to enter service in the second quarter of calendar 2022.
Embraer delivered 16 commercial aircraft in the final quarter of 2021: 12 E175s and four E195-E2 regional jets - down from 28 in the same three months in 2020. On an annual basis, Embraer's commercial aircraft deliveries rose to 48 in 2021, from 44 the previous year. The Brazil-headquartered air framer had a commercial aircraft backlog of 325 at December 31, 2021, up from 313 on September 30, 2021.
