Thailand to ease travel restrictions from March 1

Read More » The measures, which local tourism operators hope will boost visitors to Thailand, apply from March 1. A day five RT-PCR test has been scrapped in favour of a self-administered rapid antigen test. Other changes include reducing the minimum stay at a government-approved hotel to one night from five previously and the lowering of minimum medical insurance coverage from US$50,000 to US$20,000. An RT-PCR test on the day of arrival remains in place as does the requirement to show proof of a negative RT-PCR test taken no longer than 72 hours before travelling as well as evidence of having had an approved COVID-19 vaccination.
