Air travel technology company, SITA, has named David Lavorel as CEO. Lavorel is a two-decade veteran of SITA, where he has held leadership positions of SITA at airports and borders CEO, SITA for aircraft CEO, senior vice president of corporate development and head of the CEO office. "David’s experience and knowledge of the industry and SITA will be instrumental in cementing SITA’s position as a trusted partner, working with our shareholders to shape the future direction of the organization,” SITA board chair, Dr Omar Jefri, said.
Rolls-Royce plc has announced CEO, Warren East, has decided to resign. He will leave the company at the end of 2022. East said it was a privilege to have led the engine maker as CEO for the last nine years. "With the advances we have made, the momentum and energy we have shown and our firmer financial foundations, this is the right moment to look to the future," East said. "I am thoroughly committed to leading this business while we work towards a smooth leadership transition." Rolls-Royce also announced Lee Hsien Yang will depart the company’s board at the conclusion of his nine-year term in December and that Irene Dorner will not be standing for re-election as an independent non-executive director of the company at the company’s May 12 annual general meeting. Separately, Jitesh Gadhia has joined the company’s board.
Adelaide Airport Ltd has named Alan Wu as a new director. Wu was previously chair of Sydney Metro Airports and a director of International Parking Group and South Australia-based Water Utilities Australia. He presently is a director of infrastructure investments at First Sentier Investors. His appointment follows the retirement of board director, Chris McArthur.
