Malaysia Airlines increases flights to Australia after border restrictions removed

Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB) will resume nonstop flights between Kuala Lumpur and Perth and add services to Sydney from the Malaysian capital after a further easing of entry restrictions for international travellers into Australia. Read More » The oneworld alliance member said Kuala Lumpur-Perth will operate twice a week until April and then increase to five times a week. The resumption of the Perth service follows the West Australian government’s removal, from today, of quarantine requirements for fully vaccinated international arriving passengers. All inbound international travellers must show proof of a negative rapid antigen test for COVID-19 within 12 hours of arriving in the Australian state. MAB will begin operating Kuala Lumpur-Sydney as a five times a week service before increasing the route’s frequency to daily in April. Malaysia has yet to reopen its border to international inbound passengers.
