Etihad Airways announces US$476 million annual loss

Etihad Airways has reported a core operating loss of US$476 million for the 12 months to December 31, an improvement from a loss of US$1.7 billion in the previous year. "In another year of global uncertainty, Etihad Airways has continued to move forward, strengthen its business and build on its world class travel proposition," Etihad Airways Group CEO, Tony Douglas, said. "Despite the slowdown caused by Omicron, we are confident the spring and summer season will continue a resurgence in air travel as more people return to the skies."
