All Nippon Airways and Japan Airlines cancel European services; operate new flight paths to Europe

Japan's two largest airlines, All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Japan Airlines (JAL), cancelled all European services yesterday and have made the same decision for all but a handful of flights today and tomorrow in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Read More » ANA has cancelled 14 flights from March 3 to March 5 to Frankfurt, London and Paris and JAL has eliminated six services from March 3 and March 4 to Helsinki, London and Paris. JAL will operate Tokyo Haneda-London Heathrow today and ANA has scheduled three flights between Tokyo Narita and Brussels today and on Saturday. Both airlines said their flights will use alternative flight paths that will extend flying time for passengers. "We ask for your kind understanding on this matter," JAL said on its website.
