Emirates and Garuda Indonesia activate international and domestic codeshares

Emirates Airline and Garuda Indonesia have commenced their codeshare partnership on 16 routes between Europe, Indonesia and the Middle East. Read More » Garuda has placed its GA airline code on Emirates services from Dubai to Jakarta, Barcelona, London Heathrow, Manchester, Milan and Paris. Emirates will have its EK airline code on 10 Garuda domestic routes: Bali: Balikpapan, Denpasar, Makassar, Manado, Medan, Padang, Solo and Surabaya from Jakarta and to Jakarta, Makassar and Surabaya from Bali. The two carriers received regulatory approval to begin the code-sharing agreement after signing a Memorandum of Understanding in November 2021. "The start of this partnership is in line with Garuda’s commitment to contribute to the national economic recovery and connect Indonesia to the world," Garuda CEO, Irfan Setiaputra, said.
