DHL Express and Singapore Airlines establish partnership to operate 777F flights

Read More » The aircraft will be based at Singapore Changi Airport and be flown by SIA pilots to routes in North America via intermediate points in North Asia. SIA executive vice president for commercial, Lee Lik Hsin, said the new freighter operation will support the fast growing e-commerce sector.” It also provides a foundation for SIA-DHL partnership to be expanded, Lee said. "Basing these freighters at Changi Airport will reinforce Singapore’s position as a key air cargo and e-commerce logistics hub, contributing to its growth and development," he added. DHL Express Asia-Pacific CEO, Ken Lee, said the partnership with SIA guaranteed capacity on critical routes out of Singapore. "It gives us greater flexibility to add routes and optimise our aircraft utilisation in the face of unpredictable changes or sudden increases in demand," Lee said. The first two 777Fs will be delivered in July and October, with the remaining three due in Singapore in 2023, SIA said. The five aircraft will fly with a DHL-SIA livery.
