Japan Airlines domestic passenger numbers decline 39.9% month-on-month

Japan Airlines (JAL) flew 920,158 passengers on its domestic network in February, down 39.9% from the 1.5 million passengers it carried in January. Read More » Despite the hefty month-on-month decline, the February figure was up 45.5%, from 632,551 domestic passengers, in the same month in 2021. Domestic passenger load factor was 40.8% for the 28 days compared with 41.9% in January and 48% in February 2021. In February 2019, the oneworld alliance member flew 2.6 million domestic passengers, recorded a passenger load factor of 72% and offered 1.6 times the seats available in February 2022.
