IndiGo restarting scheduled international flights in April

IndiGo will resume scheduled international flights from India to destinations across Asia and the Middle East from next month. Read More » Scheduled operations on more than 150 routes will be restarted in a phased manner through April, the LCC said. "Following the easing of restrictions, we are witnessing huge demand for international travel," IndiGo chief commercial officer, William Boulter, said. "We hope this enhanced connectivity with various destinations across the continent will boost the travel and tourism sector and be a catalyst for economic revival." IndiGo also restarted flights between India and Thailand on March 27. In a separate announcement, the carrier said its new summer domestic schedule will include 100 flights connecting key metropolitan and regional centres across the country. “These new and recommenced routes will not only enhance our domestic connectivity across regions, but cater to city-specific travel demand," IndiGo chief strategy and revenue officer, Sanjay Kumar, said.
