Air New Zealand to relaunch 10 international destinations from April

Air New Zealand (AirNZ) expects to be flying to 12 international destinations by October, representing 40% of its overseas flying. Read More » The airline will commence ten overseas routes between April and October following the most recent addition, Auckland-Singapore, to its network from March 29. It was the first AirNZ flight from Singapore for near to two years. "Air New Zealand is ready to take Kiwis on their long-awaited vacations with flights," AirNZ chief customer and sales officer, Leanne Geraghty, said. "Family holidays, honeymoons, reconnecting with whānau [family] and friends – the pandemic has put all of this on hold for the last two years. We hope that booking these services will give New Zealanders something to look forward to." The Star Alliance member said nonstop flights from Auckland to San Francisco were due to start on April 14. Seven destinations - Adelaide, Cairns, Hobart, Honolulu, Houston, New Caledonia and Tahiti - will be added to its network in July, followed by New York in September and Chicago the following month, the airline said. International flights from Wellington and Queenstown also will be resuming in the period ahead, it said.
