Read More » The new route, to operate alongside existing Qantas Melbourne-Delhi, was announced as part of a proposed codeshare agreement and frequent flyer partnership with India's IndiGo. Separately, Qantas and its LCC subsidiary, Jetstar, plan to commence a nonstop Sydney-Seoul Incheon service. Jetstar will fly the route three times a week with 787-8s from November 2. Qantas will operate four flights weekly to the South Korean capital, flying A330s, starting on December 10. “Our new direct flights to Bengaluru, combined with the planned codeshare with IndiGo, have the potential to reshape how people travel between Australia and India," Qantas Group CEO, Alan Joyce, said. “South Korea is Australia’s fourth largest trading partner and Koreans see Sydney as one of the top tourism destinations. With expected strong business, premium leisure and low-cost travel demand on the route, we see an opportunity for Qantas and Jetstar to fly the route.” At present, Qantas operates a Sydney-Seoul Incheon codeshare with Asiana Airlines. Jetstar suspended its Queensland Gold Coast-Incheon flights at the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Qantas said the new services are being launched in partnership with the New South Wales state government's Aviation Attraction Fund and Sydney Airport.
