Mixed forecasts for recovery of Asia-Pacific short-haul business travel: CAPA/Collinson survey

Read More » But only 7% of respondents in the region forecast short-haul corporate travel to climb above 80% of 2019 levels. Predictions for long-haul business travel were more modest with 30% of Asia-Pacific respondents tipping the market will be less than 20% of 2019 levels in 2022. "While travel recovery progress is not happening at the pace we had hoped, particularly in the Asia-Pacific, we are seeing steps in the right direction more generally, namely a reprioritisation of travelling safely, purposely and responsibly," Collinson president for the Asia-Pacific, Todd Handcock, said. The findings are based on a survey of 414 C-suite executives and senior managers at airlines, airports and aviation suppliers in 68 countries. It was conducted in the final quarter of 2021.
