AirAsia to resume three Malaysia-India routes by May 1

AirAsia Malaysia will add three routes to its India network as it moves towards restoring capacity between the two countries to pre-COVID-19 levels. Read More » The LCC said once weekly Kuala Lumpur-Kochi flights will start on April 18, with one day a week Kuala Lumpur-Kolkata to follow on April 22. Four flights between Kuala Lumpur and Hyderabad will commence on May 1. AirAsia Malaysia currently operates to Bengaluru twice a week and four times a week to Chennai and Tiruchirappalli from its Kuala Lumpur hub. "With borders being reopened across the region, AirAsia will continue to review and add to its expanding network to cater for the increasing demand for air travel, including 30 weekly flights from Malaysia to India launching by the end of May," AirAsia Malaysia CEO, Riad Asmat, said. "Furthermore, with 71 weekly flights to be operated by the end of 2022, AirAsia Malaysia will be soon returning to pre-COVID capacity, flying more than 140 services a week to and from India."
