Air New Zealand boosts flights to Australia after start of quarantine-free travel

Air New Zealand (AirNZ) chief customer and sales officer, Leanne Geraghty, said the airline has added 96 flights to its Australia-New Zealand schedule in the April-June period after quarantine-free travel was resumed across the Tasman. Read More » “We’ve seen high demand with Aussies keen to reconnect with friends and whānau [family] in New Zealand and Australia," Geraghty said. At present, the Star Alliance member operates 11 routes between the two countries. Another six trans-Tasman routes are planned: three in June and three in July. "We have also been ramping up capacity for the winter so Aussies can enjoy our fantastic ski slopes in New Zealand," Geraghty said.
