A Sri Lankan parliamentary committee has called on SriLankan Airlines (SLA) to suspend the tender process for 21 aircraft it announced earlier this month, local media reports, citing comments from the parliament's committee on public enterprises chair, Prof Charitha Herath. Read More » Earlier in April, the oneworld alliance member issued Request for Proposals for 11 new generation narrow-body aircraft and 10 new generation wide-bodies with deliveries from 2022 to 2025. The order is facing scrutiny from Sri Lanka’s lawmakers because of the country’s severe financial crisis.
