Embraer announces US$31.7 million quarterly loss

Embraer has announced a net loss of US$31.7 million for the three months to March 31, an improvement from a net loss of US$89.7 million in the same months in 2021. Read More » Revenue declined 25.6%, to US$600.9 million, Embraer said in a regulatory filing. The company’s production shut down of about one month during the quarter, due to "system and legal reintegration" of its commercial aviation business, had impacted financial performance, Embraer said. Its firm order backlog was 315 aircraft at March 31 2022. Embraer said its previous guidance for the current year was unchanged, with the company expecting to deliver between 50 to 60 commercial aircraft to customers and generate US$4.5 billion-US$5 billion in revenue. The OEM delivered six commercial aircraft in the quarter.
