Air New Zealand international air passenger demand exceeding expectations

Read More » On May 2, New Zealand opened its border to visitors from approximately 60 visa-waiver nations enabling non-vaccinated travellers to enter the country without undergoing quarantine. "Demand has exceeded expectations with many of our services filling up," Geraghty said. "We are pleased with the trend in bookings across the network, both domestic and international." Geraghty said there also was "great demand out of New Zealand as Kiwis book their long awaited winter getaways, with popular destinations like Fiji and Honolulu being snapped up". New Zealand tourism minister, Stuart Nash, said the country is receiving about 33,000 arrivals a week. "We know today’s changes will further boost arrivals as interest in travel to New Zealand remains high," Nash said.
