Capital A optimistic “it is the beginning of the end” of COVID

"At AirAsia, we have been bringing more and more of our aircraft out of hibernation, as travel restrictions gradually ease, to meet strong pent-up demand," Capital A said. "After almost two years of having their wings clipped, people simply cannot wait to travel again. We believe all the signs point to regional air travel returning to some measure of normalcy within the year and that international air travel will recover rapidly throughout 2022 and the years ahead." Capital A, formerly known as AirAsia Group, reported a net loss of 3.1 billion ringgit (US$739 million) for calendar 2021 and a net loss of 5.1 billion ringgit in the same months in 2020.
