Australia’s Regional Express adds to 737-800 fleet

Australia's Regional Express (Rex) has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) to lease an additional 737-800. Read More » “With the full reopening of borders, Rex will continue to expand its domestic fleet and look at introducing new aircraft [into our network]whenever they become available for lease at favourable terms," Rex deputy chairman, John Sharp, said in a regulatory filing to the Australian Securities Exchange. Rex began jet operations with the 737-800 in February 2021, flying the aircraft on Australia’s major city domestic routes. It has six of the narrow-bodies and 60 Saab 340 turboprops in its fleet.
