Singapore regulator green lights Singapore Airlines-Malaysia Airlines partnership

Read More » The CCCS has accepted a set of commitments from the two carriers as part of its decision to approve the commercial cooperation framework agreement. The partnership proposes a metal-neutral alliance on services between Singapore and Malaysia, through a joint business agreement (JBA), as well as special prorate arrangements and expanded code-sharing to increase traffic between Malaysia and Singapore and between Malaysia or Singapore and certain agreed markets such as Europe. The commitments, which will be publicly released "in due course" on the CCCS website, will provide sufficient safeguards, the regulator said.
