India’s Jet Airways completes first proving flights

Jet Airways has completed the first of several proving flights as it works towards receiving its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from India's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), local media has reported. Read More » Flight tracking data shows a Jet Airways 737-800, registration VT-SXE, flew Delhi-Mumbai on Sunday before operating from Mumbai to Ahmedabad and onward to Delhi. More proving flights are scheduled in the days ahead. Jet Airways last flew in 2019, the year it shut down from financial failure. In June 2021, India's National Company Law Tribunal approved a resolution plan for the carrier led by the United Arab Emirates-based entrepreneur, Murari Lal Jalan, and Florian Fritsch, the founder of UK-headquartered investment fund Kalrock Capital.
