China Airlines reports 11.7% improvement in passenger numbers

Taiwan’s China Airlines (CAL) flew 29,323 passengers in April, up 11.7% from the 26,261 passengers carried in March. Read More » The April result was 44.8% higher than the 20,256 passengers the SkyTeam alliance member transported in the same month in 2021. Passenger load factor was 20.7% for the 30 days compared with 17.9% in March and 16.5% in April 2021. Passenger revenue of TW$486 million (US$15.5 million) was recorded for the month, a 6.8% increase from TW$455 million in March. In April 2019, CAL carried 1.3 million passengers, had a passenger load factor of 79.8% and generated TW$8.3 billion in passenger revenue.
