Malaysia Airlines and Qatar Airways expand codeshare agreement

Read More » Under the new arrangement, Qatar Airways will add its QR airline code to 34 routes operated by Malaysia Airlines from Kuala Lumpur, including all domestic destinations in Malaysia and services to the key Asian cities of Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City, Seoul and Singapore. Malaysia Airlines will now have its MH airline code on 62 Qatar Airways services from the Gulf carrier’s Doha headquarters to Africa, Europe, the Middle East and North America. “We are excited to deepen our cooperation with our long-standing oneworld partner Qatar Airways. It will bring the world closer to our customers by offering more choices and flexibility, exceptional service and innovative products,” Malaysia Airlines Berhad Group CEO, Captain Izham Ismail, said. Qatar Airways Group CEO, Akbar Al Baker, said: “We are experiencing a new optimism in air travel and expect a strong rebound in global demand.” Malaysia Airlines will begin flying Kuala Lumpur-Doha on May 25.
