Today's briefs report news on AerCap, China Aircraft Leasing Group and Sabre. Read More »
Aircraft lessor, AerCap, has recorded a net loss of US$2 billion for the three months to March 31, a sharp turnaround from a US$228 million net profit in the same months in 2021. The result was largely the result of a pre-tax charge of US$2.7 billion booked from the impact of Russia's invasion of Ukraine on the Russian airline industry. Excluding the pre-tax charge, AerCap reported an underlying net profit of US$540 million.
China Aircraft Leasing Group (CALC) has signed a sale and purchase agreement for 10 737-700s.
Sabre has been recognised as a system provider on the International Air Transport Association's airline retailing maturity index.
