Read More » Currently, passengers travelling on EVA flights to North America have a baggage allowance based on the number of pieces checked in, but passengers travelling on Asian, European and Oceania routes have a check-in allowance calculated on weight. Under the new system, all routes will adopt the piece concept. “Our policy change makes it less confusing for passengers to check their luggage and more convenient for those connecting to other airlines,” EVA Air president, Clay Sun, said. “It also enables us to improve airport and transit services by creating a smoother baggage check and transfer process globally.” Business class passengers will have an allowance of two pieces, each weighing no more than 32kg. For premium economy and economy passengers, the allowance will be two pieces weighing up to 23kg per piece.
