Malaysia Airlines to operate two sustainable aviation fuel flights on Malaysia-Singapore route

Malaysia Airlines said a June 5 return passenger service between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore will be flown by a 737-800 partly powered by sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Read More » The oneworld alliance member said MH603 from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore and the reciprocal MH606 service to the Malaysian capital will be the airline’s first passenger flights to use SAF. The fuel will be a blend of 38% SAF and conventional jet fuel, Malaysia Airlines said. “These flights reaffirm the national airline's commitment to a sustainable tomorrow and mark significant progress towards achieving a cleaner, more viable fuel source for regular flights by 2025,” Malaysia Airlines said. The flights coincide with World Environment Day.
