Atlas Air receives first of four 747-8Fs joining its fleet in 2022

Atlas Air has accepted the first of four 747-8F freighters to be delivered to the air cargo operator this year. Read More » The 747-8F, registration N860GT, will be flown on behalf of Alibaba Group's logistic arm, Cainiao Network, under a long-term agreement that links China with Brazil, Chile and the U.S. “We are pleased the first of our new 747s will be placed on a long-term basis with Cainiao, as it continues strengthening its presence as a global e-commerce logistics leader. We look forward to supporting its growth and expansion,” Atlas Air Worldwide executive vice president and chief commercial officer, Michael Steen, said. The remaining three aircraft scheduled for Atlas Air this year will be the last of the type to be built. There are no more orders for the iconic 747 in Boeing’s backlog.
