Airbus schedules A380 parts auction in October

Airbus has confirmed the date for its charity auction of an estimated 500 items salvaged from the decommissioning of one A380. Read More » Bars, handrails, lamps, seats, stairs, trolleys, a cockpit escape rope and more will go under the hammer from October 13 to 15 in Toulouse and online. “The vast majority of the parts come from A380 MSN13, which entered service in 2008 and was meticulously deconstructed in 2021 by TARMAC Aerosave, the world leader in the sustainable management of aircraft end of life, from maintenance to recycling,” Airbus said on its website. Proceeds will support the Airbus Foundation and the AIRitage association. The auction was originally scheduled for June.
