Airbus schedules first A321XLR flight for June 15: media reports

Read More » The first flight of the A321XLR, which is subject to suitable weather conditions, will take place at Airbus's Hamburg Finkenwerder facility. At the company's first quarter financial results presentation in May, Airbus CEO, Guillaume Faury, said the entry into service of the A321XLR had been pushed back to early 2024 from the close of 2023, “in order to meet certification requirements”. The aircraft is designed to fly up to 11 hours, has a range of 4,700nm (8,700km) and a maximum take-off weight of 101 tonnes. It can seat up to 244 passengers in a single-class configuration.
