Japan Airlines posts 19.3% lift in domestic passengers for May

Japan Airlines (JAL) carried 2.2 million passengers on its domestic network in May, up 19.3% month-on-month from the 1.8 million passengers it transported in April. The May figure was 157% higher than the 839,666 domestic passengers JAL flew in May 2021. The oneworld alliance member's domestic passenger load factor for the 31 days was 55.4% compared with 54.9% in April and 38.1% in May 2021. In May 2019, JAL carried three million domestic passengers and had a passenger load factor of 73.8%.
