Jetstar Australia and New Zealand chief operating officer, Gerry Turner, has resigned a year after taking up the role, the Australian Financial Review has written. Read More » A spokesman for parent, Qantas Group, confirmed the report. Turner has served in various roles at Qantas Group for close to two decades, including Jetstar group CEO for Asia (2018-2020), Jetstar Japan CEO (2015-2018) and Qantas executive manager for business transformation (2009-2011). The news report said Qantas Group safety and security executive manager, Matt Franzi, will succeed Turner. Last week, it was announced Jetstar group CEO, Gareth Evans, will step back from his position in December and leave the company in 2023.
