Airbus global market forecast for 2022-2041 predicts rise in aircraft deliveries

In its latest market forecast, Airbus calculates airlines will receive 39,490 new aircraft from 2022 to 2041. Read More » Data published in the 2022-2041 Airbus Global Market Forecast (GMF) said there will be an increase in airplane demand of 1.2%, or 470 airplane deliveries, to 2041 from 39,020 new aircraft deliveries forecast in the 2021-2040 Airbus GMF.

The global aircraft fleet of more than 100 seats and freighters with a payload above 10t are expected to increase from 22,880 today to 46,930 by 2041. Of the 39,490 new aircraft deliveries forecast for the next two decades, 24,050 will be for growth and 15,440 will replace existing aircraft, Airbus said. The GMF predicts 7,440 of all aircraft flying today will still be in service by 2041.
