Malaysia Airlines to launch second Kuala Lumpur-Doha service

Read More » The airline began flying to the home hub of alliance partner and fellow oneworld member, Qatar Airlines, in May operating with A330-300s configured with 27 business, 16 extra legroom economy and 247 economy seats. “We are delighted to increase our frequency to Doha after a successful launch of a daily service in May,” Malaysia Airlines group CEO, Captain Izham Ismail, said. “This latest addition to a strategic collaboration with Qatar Airways will allow Malaysia Airlines to achieve passenger capacity of more than 70% of pre-pandemic levels by the end of the year.” Qatar Airways will add its QR airline code on the new service. “We are committed to expanding our strategic cooperation with Malaysia Airlines and to jointly develop Kuala Lumpur International Airport as a leading hub in Southeast Asia due to the strong rebound in global air travel demand,” Qatar Airways group CEO, Akbar Al Baker, said.
