Bangkok Airways unveils investment trust for its Samui Airport

Bangkok Airways has launched the BA Airport Real Estate Investment Trust (BAREIT) for investment in the privately-held Samui Airport. Read More » A BAREIT prospectus has been lodged with Thailand's Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission and is expected to begin trading on the Stock Exchange of Thailand before year-end. The regional airline has appointed Bangkok REIT Management Company Limited as the manager of BAREIT. “Investors can be confident the property management is in good hands and yields good revenue,” Bangkok REIT Management Company Ltd managing director, Leelapat Leelahavanich, said. “As the country now is open to all tourists, the airport can expand its capacity for both domestic and international flights.”
