Airbus said its Wing of Tomorrow research program, which is studying next-generation wing technologies, has built the first of three full-size wing prototypes, also known as demonstrators.

Separately, the OEM has confirmed South America's LATAM Airlines has ordered 17 A321neo, increasing the order book for the A320neo family aircraft to 100. LATAM also has committed to adding the A321XLR to its future fleet.

Boeing and Qatar Airways have finalised an order for 25 737 MAX 10s following their January signing of a Memorandum of Understanding for 25 737 MAX 10s and purchase rights for 25 of the type.

Separately, Cargolux has selected the 777-8F freighter as its “preferred solution” to replace the cargo operator's 747-400 freighters. No aircraft orders were announced.

Wholly-owned Boeing Company subsidiary, Jeppesen, has secured a deal with Norse Atlantic Airways to equip the carrier’s 787s with Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro, Ground Controls and Tailored Maps, Aviator/FliteBrief, Onboard Performance Tool (OPT) and Ops Data and FMS NavData.

Embraer and Nordic Aviation Capital have agreed a Memorandum of Understanding to place the first two E190F passenger-to-freight conversions with Kenya’s Astral Aviation.

The company also intends to deepen its cooperation in aftermarket support services for aircraft modifications and customization, program support, logistics and repair services with Fokker Services.

Pratt & Whitney Canada and Afrijet have signed a 12-year guaranteed maintenance cost plan (GMCP) for the PW127M and PW127XT-M engines that power the Gabon carrier’s three ATR 72-600 turboprops.
