Japan’s two leading airlines launch code-sharing with regional affiliates

All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Japan Airlines (JAL) will begin code-sharing with airlines outside their domestic affiliates on several regional routes. Read More » The arrangements cover ANA, Amakusa Airlines (AMX), Japan Air Commuter (JAC), JAL and Oriental Air Bridge (ORC). ANA will sell JAC-operated services on 14 routes linking with Kagoshima Airport and AMX flights via a code-share in Kumamoto. Separately, JAL will team with ORC out of Nagasaki. Tickets will go on sale on August 30 with the code-shares to start on October 30. Air fares will be set by each airline, a statement said.
