Sydney Airport CEO, Geoff Culbert, said the industry was continuing to face challenges with staffing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the winter flu season in Australia. Read More » “Passenger recovery is encouraging, but it continues to track ahead of the workforce recovery,” Culbert said. “Everyone across the industry is working hard to rebuild their teams, but with the ongoing labour shortages it's going to take time.” Sydney Airport reported 1.99 million domestic passengers for July, up 6.3%, from 1.87 million in-country air travellers in June. International passengers at Sydney Airport increased 22.3%, to 844,000 for the reported month, from 690,000 international passengers processed in the previous month.
